BANGOR – T. Bradley “Brad” Cote, 87, passed away Nov. 24, 2013, at a local hospital. He was born Sept. 8, 1926, in Dexter, the son of Joseph T. and Cecile M. (Clukey) Cote.
Brad attended Dexter schools, and was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He owned Brad Cote & Sons Sheet Metal Company, and he was a member of the Sheet Metal Workers Union 545. Brad was a very loving and kind husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and great-great-grandfather.
Brad is survived by his wife of 67 years, Phyllis M. (Hall) Cote; four children, Gary Cote and his wife, Lillian, of Milo, Richard Cote and his wife, Karen, of Winterport, Debbie DePhilippo and her husband, Edward, of Bangor, and Paul Cote and his fiancée, Lisa Thomas, of Bangor; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; a brother, Robert Cote and his wife, Melba, of Sangerville; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a grandson, Jason Cote; and two brothers, Philip Cote and Joseph Cote.
A graveside service will be held noon Saturday, Nov. 30, at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, 449 Ohio St., Bangor, with the Rev. Dr. Rex H. Garrett, Director of Chaplaincy Services at EMMC, officiating. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments at the Family Reception Center of Brookings-Smith, 163 Center St., Bangor, following the interment.
