The Bangor Daily News welcomes letters from readers. Letters should be brief, no more than 250 words, and may be edited or rejected for clarity, taste, libel and space. OpEd commentary usually runs 700 to 850 words. All correspondence should include full name, town of residence and daytime phone number. Pseudonyms and initials will not be used.
